Monkey Bizness Cloth Diaper Review & Giveaway

Monkey Bizness is a shop that makes and sells cloth diapers and covers, bibs, bags, sock dolls, and *drumroll* patented photo albums that look like cloth diapers. I can show you better than tell you about these unique items, though. View and behold:

The owner began by making sock dolls years ago and has since delved into the cloth diapering world. She makes fitted diapers secured by Velcro, and also offers fleece covers in an array of sizes and styles. Monkey Bizness sent us a fitted diaper in a flower print to try along with a doubler for the inside. It was the first fitted diaper that we’ve ever tried and we think it’s great! For the long term, we prefer snaps, but I’ve found that the Velcro on this diaper allows me to put the diaper on Amara quicker and easier (especially good for her “on-the-go” attitude these days…) and also stays on well.

It’s a trim diaper and best for day time, although we have used it with a PUL cover at night with no leaking problems. The doubler included didn’t match the diaper (a dark green/gray color), but honestly, no one sees it anyway and it did its job regardless! The diaper and doubler have held up through a month of wearing and washing with no signs of distress on either the fabric, seems, or Velcro.
These diapers are very easy to use, and will work well under any cover because of their trimness. The best part about them, though? The price! Monkey Bizness is dedicated to providing cloth diapers to families on a budget and it shows. Her diapers are very reasonably priced at $6.00-$8.00 a piece, and her fleece covers (whose cut looks really stylish for cloth diapers, by the way) at only $6.00 a piece. Along with any orders (you could stock up quick here), you also get a goodie-bag filled with things from other small businesses, like wax tarts, pencils, or confetti soap, as well as a cloth wipe from her!
